How to start a bilingual conversation with Heyo
Set your languages, speak clearly and check the original text.

Choose the languages people actually speak
Set each side to the language that person will speak. For a Chinese and Russian conversation, choose Chinese and Russian. The interface language is not the speech recognition language.
Start with one complete thought
Use the voice input for the correct language and speak a short, complete sentence. Check the original and translated text. Stay near the microphone and avoid music or several people speaking at once.
Check the original when something sounds wrong
If the original transcription is wrong, the translation may be wrong too. Check the input language, microphone permission and connection, then repeat the important sentence.
Confirm important details
Ask the other person to check names, prices, addresses and dates in writing. Do not rely on automated translation alone for medical, legal or contractual decisions.
